Lyndell Octavia Robinson is an educator, technical writer/editor, and human resources professional with more than 30 years of experience supporting education, workforce development, and organizational operations in higher education and nonprofit environments. She has a strong background in administrative leadership, program coordination, and human-centered systems that advance mission-driven work.
Ms. Robinson has over 25 years of experience in administrative and program support roles, as well as nearly 15 years of direct experience in human resources, diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access (DEIBA), training coordination, and employee engagement. She is known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex processes with accuracy, discretion, and care. Her expertise includes course design and facilitation, records and data management, training coordination, and stakeholder communication.
She previously served as Office Manager for Environmental Community Action (ECO-Action), where she supported daily operations, managed constituent records and
and communications assisted with grant reporting and compliance, coordinated events and training sessions, and supervised interns and volunteers. This experience provides her with a deep understanding of ECO-Action’s mission, community partnerships, and operational needs, and makes her proud to serve on its board.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership experience, Ms. Robinson spent 15 years at Georgia State University in Human Resources Administration, supporting campus-wide employee development, inclusion, and belonging initiatives aligned with institutional strategic goals. She has also held governance and records leadership roles with the University System of Georgia Board of Regents and currently works in the Human Resources unit at Atlanta Metropolitan State University.
Ms. Robinson holds a Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in Technical Communication and Instructional Design from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Alcorn State University.
