Atlanta Watershed Learning Network (AWLN) is a community of service driven dedicated professionals that empower citizens to foster collaborative thinking to further drive water restoration innovation. By closing the loop in the education surrounding watershed and its impact on the community, the goal is to organically foster interest in the watershed just as much as there is interest in the other key components of the City of Atlanta.
ECO-Action’s AWLN program is an opportunity for Atlanta residents to get a hands-on learning experience in various areas like environmental health, sustainability, leadership, finances, and nutrition. This program offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into the roots of what makes our environment so unique and how many ways we can improve the areas around us by making simple and small changes.
A graduation ceremony was conducted on September 24, 2022 for those students who participated in this year’s program. The students were asked to present a project that they felt could be implemented in their communities that would increase community education and awareness of the outdoor environment and what it has to offer.
